    Neuropsychological assessment and enhancement

    This is an evaluation process aimed at investigating the cognitive functioning of the subject. In particular, the different cognitive functions such as memory, attention, executive functions, visual-perceptive reasoning, language, etc. are examined in depth, in order to identify the main strengths and weaknesses.

    STRUCTURE

    Neuropsychological assessment:

    • cognitive interview to collect anamnesis and clinical history;
    • qualitative observation of behavior;
    • administration of neuropsychological tests (cognitive assessment and any other in-depth analyses depending on what emerged in the anamnesis collection and in the initial evaluation phase)

    Cognitive and learning enhancement:

    • Depending on what emerged from the neuropsychological assessment, a cognitive enhancement program may be necessary to increase the individual’s deficient cognitive functions.

    These enhancement programs aim to enhance deficient abilities and find the most appropriate strategies and tools depending on the characteristics of the individual.

    Pedagogy

    Interviews based on mutual trust, in which the consultant, through sharing experiences, empathic listening, dialogue and, sometimes, even play, helps and guides the user to find solutions to life’s difficulties.
