ABIO volunteers, trained and free of charge, take care of children and adolescents hospitalized with various initiatives, together with parents and health personnel.
The Association through the presence of its volunteers, play and recreational activities in welcoming and cheerful game rooms, tries to give life to serene moments to forget the distance from the usual reference points.
The Association’s task is to bring a smile with its volunteers to children in hospitals: to do this, Fondazione ABIO develops training projects for its volunteers and, Where possible, it opens new venues that allow volunteers to alleviate the trauma of the child’s impact with the hospital.
