Centro per l'impiego di Cantù

Via Camillo Benso Cavour, 27 - 22063 Cantù (CO)
The Employment Sector of the Province of Como, through the Employment Centers (CPI), plays a fundamental role in the context of active employment policies. It deals with facilitating the meeting between job supply and demand, offering free services both to citizens looking for work and to companies looking for qualified personnel.
The main activities include: reception and professional orientation, the promotion of training and professional requalification paths, the matching of job supply and demand and the management of training internships. The Employment Centers also issue certifications and documents such as the Declaration of Immediate Availability (DID) and the Employment Status.
The carrying out of the fundamental activities of the Sector also takes place through collaboration with public and private bodies, schools, universities and training agencies to encourage job placement or re-employment. It also promotes its online services in the area through orientation initiatives and supply-demand matching in schools and meeting places.
The Work Sector operates with a view to inclusion, offering specific services also for people with disabilities (role played by Targeted Placement) and disadvantaged individuals, contributing to the development of a fairer and more efficient labor market.

Available services
Job placement
Issuance of certificates: declaration of immediate availability, historical C2, professional data sheet, employment status
The reception service aims to support citizens in their basic job search orientation process through an initial interview.
The welcome meetings, individual or group, have the aim of:
● analyze the user’s training and work history and update their professional data sheet
● provide the user with information relating to the main channels for active job searching
● provide information on local, regional or national projects that support citizens in the relocation process and on the local bodies that promote them
● support in finding information on training and/or retraining courses
The orientation service is aimed at supporting the person in reconstructing and enhancing their professional and educational history and making them more aware of their personal skills and resources in order to define the most suitable paths for placement or relocation in relation to the situation and complexity of the local labor market.
In particular, the activity consists of an assessment of the type of need expressed by the person and the identification of his or her skills to initiate him or her towards paths that better respond to his or her potential as a function of a path of job placement or re-entry, professional qualification or retraining or self-employment.
The service deals with the care of users who receive subsidies such as Inclusion Allowance (Adi) or Work Training Support (Sfl), including periodic monitoring carried out by the dedicated operator throughout the entire process of using the benefit.
The service also includes the involvement of entities that locally deal with disadvantaged users, with the aim of ensuring the most integrated management of the person’s needs as possible.
The IDO Service (supply-demand matching) aims to bring together those who are looking for employment with companies looking for staff.
The CPI therefore carries out its fundamental function as mediator between those offering and those seeking employment by carrying out an initial selection on behalf of the company.
All the services of the Employment Center are free and can be accessed by making an appointment with your reference center (https://lavoro.provincia.como.it/area-cittadino/trova-il-tuo-cpi/)
