Volunteer association active since 1988 and promoted by the Caritas Decanale of Cantù and Mariano Comense (includes 13 municipalities).
At the Listening Center there is a social worker and volunteers.
Available services
Food pantry
Food distribution for families or individuals in need.
This possibility is recognized after an evaluation at the Listening Center (ISEE < 10,140 euros); the person is given a card and can use it to go once a month, or at most twice, to the distribution center at the Church of San Teodoro.
People can choose, within certain limits of availability, what to have put in the package.
Friday and Saturday from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Support for vulnerable people
The social worker meets people in difficulty who bring problems of various kinds (insufficient income, housing emergency, citizenship issues, lack of work, etc. …). The main objectives of this meeting are: to understand if the individual is already followed by social workers, and to provide support through the network around Caritas and parishes.

Matching domestic workers and families
A matching action is carried out between women who are available for a role as domestic workers/carers and families.

Housing
Apartment in Arosio (Casa Noemi) for evicted families. The stay in the apartment is usually 6 months, the time needed to look for a new accommodation and a new stability (it is possible to extend the stay if necessary). Access to the apartment is through Social Services.

Wardrobe
At the Oratory of San Teodoro in Via Daverio, a collection and distribution point for clothes has been created. Here too, access is via a card and the service can be used once a month.
Wednesday from 15:00 to 18:00 collection of clothing items in good condition.
Thursday from 15:00 to 18: distribution of clothing items.
All citizens.
Job placement
Possibility for adults, in fragile situations, to access internships. It is a service in collaboration with Caritas Ambrosiana and for this reason many proposals are in the Milan area.
