All citizens, especially parents who are facing a difficult pregnancy or have a child in the 0-3 age group and need economic/psychological supportThe Centro Aiuto alla Vita is an organisation which offers support and assistance to pregnant women and families in difficulty. Its objective is to promote life and motherhood, providing psychological support, information material to those who are in situations of vulnerability. Through a network of volunteers and professionals, the center offers advice, concrete help and accompaniment paths, with the intention of helping women to live with serenity pregnancy and motherhood, even in difficult contexts.

    Available services

    Wardrobe

    At the headquarters of Mariano Comense are available clothes for children 0-3 years and clothes/ objects for future mothers and new moms (e.g. maternity clothes, strollers…)

    Food pantry

    Food bank dedicated to the feeding of newborns, at the headquarters of Mariano.

    Every last Friday of the month, from 9.30 to 11.30, a snack is proposed together with mothers and babies. Admission is free, there is no need to notify in advance and it is not necessary to have already made the first contact with the association. The snacks take place at the Cantù headquarters.

    Nursery

    A socio-educational and training service open to all children, in order to promote their psycho-physical well-being and the balanced development of every cognitive, affective, relational and social potential.

    Women's welfare

    The centre provides support for maternity by offering various services

    TYPOLOGIES
    • Listening desk: present both Mariano and Cantù and addressed to pregnant women, who have just experienced an abortion, new mothers.
    • Post-abortion psychologist: meetings with a specialist to deal with the post-abortion moment. After the first interviews, it may be considered to direct the person to another more specific structure.
    • Breastfeeding support: meetings to inform and train the mother on the benefits of breastfeeding and how to wean.
    • Self-knowledge: meetings aimed at training and informing women on the functioning of their body in relation to the menstrual cycle and the various methodologies for understanding the days of higher/ lower fertility.
