The CISL is a large confederal trade union founded on principles of freedom, justice, participation, responsibility, autonomy, faithful to the values of democratic Catholicism and secular reformism. By maintaining these characteristics and the far-sighted ideas of the “founding fathers”, CISL has become an increasingly decisive social force in the economic and social life of the country, expanding its influence and gaining consensus among workers and citizens.
